THE RIGHT FIT

There are a number of factors that Guardian Angels Cat Rescue & Adoption Shelter take into consideration when adopting a cat or kitten to you. These are factors that should should apply to your decision too.

•What do you expect from your companion animal?

•What is your age when you decide to adopt? We have found that young couples or individuals feel a lesser responsibility and that older people do not necessarily consider that the cat will outlive them. Similarly, those that rent often feel no obligation to take the cat with them.

•Are you willing to abide by the legally binding contract we ask you to comply with after adoption?

•Are you willing to comply with our rigorous expectations for any animals already in your care, such as having them fixed or, in the case of cats, having them tested for FIV/ FeLV?

•If you have small children, are you prepared to educate them about how to handle kitty and the importance of not letting the cat out of the house?

•Are you impulse adopting or is this something you have considered long and hard? Yes, cats are very independent creatures but, they need attention and medical care.

•Are you financially prepared to undertake routine and unexpected medical expenses for your new pet?

If you can answer positively to these concerns then you will be a good adopter, if not then you should reconsider your choice of pet.

We invest a great deal of time, effort and money into the cats we shelter and connect with them on individual level.
